Finance and Accounting Coordinator                                                          
PART TIME TEMP

Job Responsibilities:

Assist Executive Director and Director of Finance in areas including but not limited to:

  • Providing financial support to projects through budget tracking, monthly billing, and collections follow up from project inception to closeout
  • Reviewing spreadsheets, tracking financial data across a variety of systems, maintaining order by managing information systematically
  • Produce routine reports summarizing business and financial activities
  • Help create project budgets and operating budgets
  • Entering financial transactions in Quick Books, including tenant rental payments and company debit card expenses
  • Review, process, and enter bills into Quick Books
  • Generate checks for Executive Director signature
  • Reconcile credit card statements
  • Prepare invoices
  • Update hard copy and electronic financial files accordingly
  • Process unemployment claims and employment verifications (HR function)
  • And any other tasks assigned by the Executive Director or Directors (Finance and Housing)


Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Positive attitude and reliable, with an outstanding work ethic
  • Exceptional math skills and very detail-oriented
  • Proficient with Quick Books, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication
  • 3+ years related experience in accounting/financial analysis
  • 3+ years related experience in bookkeeping or data entry
  • Associates degree or higher preferred

Candidate must adhere to the most up-to-date accounting policies and practices.

Compensation: $25-30 per hour dependent on experience and skill level, approx. 20 hours a week

Ability to grow into a permanent position if employee performs well
