Camden Lutheran Housing, Inc. (CLHI) is pleased to announce the continuation of the Dr. Earl Dixon Scholarship Fund to support and encourage Camden youth to pursue a college or a trade/technical school education after high school. These awards will be made for the 2021-2022 academic year.
Dr. Earl Dixon was a physicist, activist, community leader, and founding member of the CLHI Board, beginning his term as Board President in 1986. His volunteerism was integral to rebuilding and revitalizing the North Camden neighborhood for decades.
In his memory, we are proud to offer four (4) scholarships of up to $500 each to Camden youth who want to better themselves and pursue their career passions through enrollment in a college or trade/technical school.
Please note: high school technical school students are NOT eligible.
Applications are due by April 30, 2021.
HOW TO APPLY –
The CLHI Scholarship Committee requests a cover sheet including:
• Applicant Name
• Mailing Address
• Phone Number
• Email Address
• Date of Birth
And 1 paragraph answers to the following questions:
Candidates must live in Camden, NJ and be enrolled in a college or technical school for the 2021-2022 academic year. Awardees may be asked to provide proof of address and academic enrollment. CLHI reserves the right to ask for additional information prior to distributing funds.
Awards will be announced by May 31, 2021.
